The recipes are so easy and full of flavor. Slow-cooker cooking is the way to go! 1 of 1 found this review helpful: A Must Have Cookbook for Every Busy Cook, 2008-02-29 My husband, though very active and a healthy weight, was diagnosed with type II diabetes about 5 years ago. This cookbook has been a Godsend for me. He has a sweet tooth and is also sort of a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy. This cookbook is full of delicious recipes that satisfy his appetites, the recipes are easy to fix and best of all, the ingredients are readily available no matter where you live. I also love the spiral binding that allows the book to lay flat. Even if you're not a diabetic but just want to watch your carb/sugar intake or are looking for a more healthy way to eat then this is a wonderful addition to your cookbook library. I use mine at least once a week. 2 of 2 found this review helpful: Great Cookbook, 2008-02-06 I gave this to my Mom as a gift and she just loves it. She said the recipes are great and she doesn't feel like she's on a diabetic diet when she uses the recipes in this cookbook. My Mom is new to crockpot cooking and she absolutely loves this cookbook. I looked thru this cookbook before I gave it to her and I copied down numerous recipes. They all tasted great.
